Sure, it’s no Black Friday or Mother’s Day, but even so, Valentine’s Day is definitely nothing for marketers to sneeze at.
This year, the search engine Bing came out with its “Search Bing for Love”—on online slide presentation highlighting “Valentine’s Day 2017 Insights for Digital Marketers.” The presentation covers everything from consumer spending and demographics, to online searches and marketing trends.
The data for this growing holiday is pretty fascinating. For instance, a record-setting $19.7 billion was spent on Valentine’s Day in 2016. And, would you believe consumers spent $681 million on Valentine’s gifts for their pets in 2016?
You don’t have to work for Hallmark or Godiva to find some relevant takeaways. If you’re a marketer, it’s worth a look.
