We just returned from our mid-winter meeting at which topics discussed included:

How to develop compelling speaking engagements
Transparency in digital delivery and reporting
A new growth trend in direct marketing
The emergence of augmented and virtual reality in marketing
These meetings provide a terrific forum for learning and sharing, and they make us all more effective managers of our businesses. We always return reenergized, refreshed and looking forward to implementing new and creative ideas for our clients.
February charity of the month: International Children’s Heart Foundation
For our February charity, in honor of love, Valentine’s day, and most importantly, hearts, we made a donation to the International Children’s Heart Foundation. Led by teams of volunteer cardiac surgeons, ICHF provides life-saving heart surgeries to children around the globe.
From their mission statement:
The mission of the International Children’s Heart Foundation (ICHF) is to bring the skills, technology and knowledge to cure and care for children with congenital heart disease in developing nations. In operation since 1993, ICHF assembles volunteer medical teams from around the world to provide free pediatric cardiac surgeries, training and medical resources to countries without access to them.
We are starting projects for two new clients this month. One is a financial institution that needs naming, branding and identity for a spin-off. The other is an insurance consulting company who needs our help in developing prospect communications and a nurture campaign. Both companies hired us because of our financial services knowledge and expertise in other areas related to their needs. You can bet we’ll be sharing results of these new projects with you in future newsletters.
Last month we told you about a new website we created for Value Consulting Group. This month, we held a happy hour at our local watering hole Darby’s Pub (which happens to be in the lower level of our building) to celebrate. We had a great time getting to know all of their employees…and talking about hockey.
We have no employee birthdays this month, but two of our pets have birthdays. Sheryl’s dog Charlie on Feb 6 and Beth’s cat Peabody on Feb 14. We’re a little crazy about our animals around here, and it’s no wonder—look how cute they are!
