I was recently on a fishing trip in the wilds of far northern Manitoba, and the parallels of trying to catch trophy fish with trying to catch trophy new clients struck me. Successfully angling for a lunker requires a lot of preparation, the proper tools, multiple environmental considerations, skillful execution/presentation, a good guide and yes, luck.
For each species you need the right rod/reel/line and tackle combination. You must take into account water depth, temperature and clarity, fish feeding habits, time of day, even phase of the moon. You must present the bait/lure in the proper manner and know how and when to set the hook, play the fish and land it unharmed. You need an experienced guide to outline strategy and put you in the right spot at the right time and you need the stars to align to have a big one choose your line to attack.
The marketing parallels are striking. For each customer target, you need the right combination of channels. You must take into account multiple market factors. You must present your product/company in the proper manner and know how to ask for and when to close the sale. You need an experienced guide to help with defining strategy and putting your message in the right spot at the right time to the right audience. And you need the stars to align to have a big one choose yours over other tempting offers.
If you’re looking for new clients and need an experienced guide, consider d.trio. We can help you have success like this …
