NO PHONE: THE PET ROCK OF THE 21st CENTURY?
Want to wean yourself off your smartphone addiction? Introducing the No Phone—a product dreamt up by a couple of advertising creatives who believe that smartphone use is getting out of control.
The No Phone is a plain plastic rectangle—size and shape of a phone, but with no functionality whatsoever. The basic model sells for $10, with a No Phone Air (an empty package containing, well, air) selling for $5, and the No Phone Selfie (a plastic square with a mirror) selling for $15. Whether or not they actually cure people of the need to check their phones every two seconds, we’re not so sure. But the No Phones are a hit. More than 12,000 have been sold already.
