Using our audience insights platform GWI, we gathered some data about your audience—people who work in companies seeking to improve their sustainability efforts as well as the products they sell. Here’s what we found, along with some ideas for making the best use of it:

Of those who attend tradeshows, 30% are there to discover new products and services, but

only 11%

are there to buy them.

So, if you’re working a show, focus on educating your prospects rather than selling to them. After the show, follow up regularly with useful content in a variety of formats. Our research says webinars and blogs are the most popular with this group.

Make sure to keep your website updated—that’s the first place they’ll go after talking to you at a show. And they want to see user reviews, so be sure to include them in all your content.

When they’re ready to talk, they want to contact you via email, so make it easy for them to send you one, either with a direct link on your website or a form to fill out. And be sure you’re monitoring that inbox regularly. These people are ready to buy!
