We’ve been fortunate to have Synchrony Bank as a client since its early days. In close collaboration with their internal studio, we develop and manage most of their digital banner ads that tout current interest rates. Over the years we’ve transitioned their programs from Flash to HTML5, managed dynamic ads for highly-targeted audience profiles, animated Marvel superheroes, and helped solve the many mysteries of Google. All of which is incredibly interesting, challenging, and fun for our design team.
Occasionally, though, we get (and appreciate) the opportunity to play with a simple concept. With rates being erratic of late, Synchrony decided to do a series of ads for their savings products that were not focused on specific rates. The Rainy/Sunny banners are the product of this simple concept with bright, eye-catching animation that, in our opinion, surely cause viewers to feel a moment of happiness.
