MnSEIA Gateway to Solar 2025

Still buzzing from the MnSEIA Gateway to Solar conference, where panelists (including Megan) tackled a big question: How do you communicate clearly in a world overloaded with misinformation? A few standout reminders:

Lead with facts. Be transparent. Communicate early and often.
Build bridges, not defenses. Trust starts before the first public meeting about a project.
Know your people. Get curious about the community’s concerns.
Don’t debate, listen. Curiosity disarms confrontation.
Educate proactively. FAQs and myth-busting content matters more than ever.

Thanks to the other panelists Amelia Cerling Hennes and Ayme Zemke for a real, refreshing conversation. More thoughts? Send them our way.

Speaking of making memories, you know that feeling at the end of a great project: proud, inspired… and a little bummed it’s over? Yeah, that’s where Distilled began.

We’ve begun creating reports to write it all down. It’s our way of reliving the good stuff: the sparks, the teamwork, the “wow, that actually worked” moments. Part reflection, part celebration, all heart.

Some projects fade. Others leave a mark. Distilled is how we keep the best ones alive. And if you’re wondering how to get in on the next one… well, you’ll have to start a project with us.

But wait, there’s more

Born of curiosity and enthusiasm, we’re a scrappy group of smart, passionate marketers who work hard and play hard. We show up every day and fight for our clients who are making the world a better place. We listen with curiosity, explore deeply, ask hard questions, and sometimes put forth ideas that might make you squirm. Because we believe the status quo is good for growing mold but not much else. The way we see it, change is the way forward and the magic happens when curiosity, math, science, instinct, and talent intersect.
